Crossing London to the Royal Docks
London City Airport is in Newham, east London, on the north bank of the Thames. From Chessington the usual route runs up the A3 through Tolworth and past the Robin Hood roundabout, then east along the South Circular (A205) towards Blackwall or the newer Silvertown Tunnel, before the final stretch along the A1020 to the airport. Typically the drive takes 60 to 80 minutes outside rush hour.
Both river tunnels now charge a fee, and parts of the route pass through busy town centres. Your driver picks the best way on the day. Ask us what your fixed fare includes when you book.

The airport is east of central London, so towns on the eastern side of our area, such as Worcester Park and Tolworth, have a slightly shorter trip. From Oxshott or Esher, expect a little longer.
