Why take a taxi to King's Cross
By rail from Chessington, reaching King's Cross means a train to Waterloo and then the Northern line or a bus across town. With cases, a pushchair or an early start, that is harder than it sounds. A taxi takes you door to door, and you can relax until you reach the concourse.

Our route across London
From Chessington, drivers normally take the A3 north through Tolworth and Wandsworth, cross the river and head up through Chelsea and Marylebone to the Euston Road. Typically the drive takes 55 to 75 minutes outside rush hour. It is a cross-London trip, so traffic varies more than on a motorway. We suggest leaving extra time for a reserved seat on a long-distance train.

St Pancras and Eurostar
St Pancras International sits across the road from King's Cross. If you are catching a Eurostar to Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam, tell us and we will drop you at St Pancras instead. Eurostar asks passengers to arrive well before departure for security and passport checks, so we will plan the pickup time around that.
St Pancras also has Thameslink and East Midlands Railway services, including trains to Luton Airport Parkway. If you are flying, though, a direct Chessington to Luton taxi may be simpler.
