Getting around Hook
Hook grew up along Hook Road, the A243, which runs north from Chessington to the busy Hook junction on the A3. The shops on Hook Parade, the local schools and the surrounding streets of 1930s homes make it a close-knit neighbourhood. It is well placed for driving, with the A3 on the doorstep, but less so for trains. The nearest station, Chessington North, is on a branch line with a limited service, which is why many Hook residents book a car for longer trips.

Airport transfers from Hook
Hook is a good place to start an airport journey. For Heathrow, a driver can go south to the M25 at Junction 9 or cut across through Kingston and Hampton Court, depending on traffic. Either way it typically takes 30 to 40 minutes. For Gatwick, it is the A243 south to the M25 and then the M23, typically 35 to 45 minutes. Visitors to Hook and Chessington
Hook is close to Chessington World of Adventures, so relatives and friends often visit the area with children. We collect visitors from Surbiton station or the airports and bring them to family homes in Hook, or straight to the resort for the day. At the end of a long day at the park, a pre-booked car is much easier than waiting for a bus with tired children.
Hook residents also book us for trips a little further afield, such as Kingston town centre, Richmond Park and Hampton Court Palace, all within about 20 minutes by car at quiet times.
